Inside Texas takes a closer look at the upcoming recruiting decisions for D\u2019antre Robinson and Corian Gipson, plus new visitors headed to Austin in late July in Sunday\u2019s intel. <\/p>\n
The 6-foot-3.5, 315-pound On3 four-star interior defender is set to announce on July 20th. Texas still holds the cards four days from his announcement, with Florida the chief competition. Give Bo Davis<\/a><\/strong> and Tashard Choice<\/a><\/strong> a lot of credit keeping the Horns in great standing with the Sunshine State defensive lineman. The Gators aren\u2019t giving up. <\/p>\n In addition to the aforementioned schools, Robinson holds offers from Georgia, USC, Miami, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Michigan, Auburn and Ole Miss among many others.<\/p>\n According to the\u00a0On3 Industry Ranking<\/a>, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Robinson checks in as the No. 35 defensive lineman, No. 56 prospect in Florida, and No. 406 player overall.<\/p>\n Two days after Robinson announces, Gipson (July 22nd) will make his selection. <\/p>\n The 6-foot-1, 180-pound On3 four-star from the metroplex is down to Texas, Clemson, and Ohio State, with the Horns and Tigers fighting for the final rose. <\/p>\n Texas has some confidence as we approach the big day, with friends like Jordon Johnson-Rubell <\/a><\/strong>already jumping into the 2024 class. <\/p>\n Gipson is ranked as the No. 73 overall prospect, the No. 8 cornerback, and the No. 14 player in Texas in the On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranks Gipson as the No. 71 overall prospect, the No. 8 cornerback, and the No. 17 player in Texas.<\/p>\n Texas has a\u00a095.5%<\/em>\u00a0chance of landing Gipson, according to the\u00a0On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.<\/a><\/p>\n Gipson also makes it mark on the track for Lancaster. He\u2019s one of the top sprinters in the Dallas area and is part of a 4\u00d7100-meter relay team that clocked a 41.74-second time in the spring of 2022.
