Wolverine TV: Will Michigan’s second official visit weekend produce any commits?

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland and Zach Libby discussed several Michigan recruiting topics on the Tuesday edition of The Wolverine Live recruiting show, including a preview of U-M’s second June official visit weekend.
Watch and listen to Holland and Libby share the latest on Michigan recruiting below.
Michigan is set to host 13 visitors this weekend and leads for six of those recruits, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Those six are four-star Chicago (Ill.) Kenwood wide receiver I’Marion Stewart, four-star Ijamsville (Md.) Oakdale EDGE Dominic Nichols, four-star Deerfield Beach (Fla.) High EDGE Elias Rudolph, three-star Landisville (Pa.) Hempfield defensive lineman Deyvid Palepale, three-star Princeton (N.J.) Hun School defensive lineman Owen Wafle and three-star Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman running back Micah Ka’apana.
Holland offered up Wafle as a potential weekend commitment. Here is what he had to say about that recruitment.
“He’s a former Notre Dame commit,” Holland said. “Michigan has obviously made a huge push. He recently backed out of his verbal pledge to the Irish. He has no set date as far as a commitment, but if Michigan knocks it out of the park on this OV, you could just see him shut it down shortly after leaving campus or while on campus. I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if that happened. I feel very, very confident in my prediction for Owen Wafle going into the visit.”
Michigan has 17 commits in its 2024 recruiting class — Top 100 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day quarterback Jadyn Davis, Top 100 Rochester (Mich.) Adams tight end Brady Prieskorn, Top 100 Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller running back Jordan Marshall, On300 Austin (Tex.) Vandegrift offensive tackle Blake Frazier, On300 Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst offensive tackle Andrew Sprague, offensive tackle On300 Harper Woods (Mich.) High defensive back Jacob Oden, On300 Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth linebacker Mason Curtis, On300 Bellevue (Wash.) High tight end Hogan Hansen, industry four-star Cheshire (Conn.) Academy defensive lineman Jerod Smith, industry four-star Avon (Ohio) High interior offensive lineman Luke Hamilton, three-star Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day wide receiver Channing Goodwin, three-star Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward offensive tackle Ben Roebuck, three-star Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier defensive lineman Ted Hammond, three-star Ponte Vedra (Fla.) Beach interior offensive lineman Jake Guarnera, three-star Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall defensive lineman Manuel Beigel, three-star Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic athlete Cole Sullivan and three-star South Park (Pa.) High linebacker Zach Ludwig.
The Wolverines are currently ranked No. 6 overall in the 2024 On3 Industry National Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 2 in the Big Ten Conference.
