Wolverine TV: Breaking down the five highest ranked recruits visiting Michigan this weekend
Michigan is set to host multiple top recruiting targets this weekend.
The Wolverine’s EJ Holland breaks down the five highest ranked prospects from the group using the On3 Industry Ranking. Watch or listen to the video below.
The highest rated recruit coming in this weekend is Top 100 Burley (Idaho) High wide receiver Gatlin Bair.
This will be Bair’s first-ever trip to Ann Arbor. Right now, Nebraska is considered the leader, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, which gives the Huskers an 82.1 percent chance of landing him.
Here is what Holland had to say about Bair’s recruitment.
“Bair has never made a trip to Michigan, but there are a couple of things working in Michigan’s favor,” Holland said. “One, he’s from Idaho, same obscure state as Colston Loveland, Michigan’s freshman tight end who will be heavily involved on this visit. Loveland’s high school coach, Cameron Anderson, actually took the job at Burley this year, so now he’s coaching Bair. There is already familiarity there between Loveland and Bair and between the Michigan staff and Bair’s high school coach. Jay Harbaugh has great relationships in the state of Idaho and has been down there so many times. He has a great relationship with Bair and his family.”
Michigan now has 22 commits in its 2024 recruiting class. Rounding out the group are Top 100 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day quarterback Jadyn Davis, Top 100 Rochester (Mich.) Adams tight end Brady Prieskorn, Top 100 Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller running back Jordan Marshall, On300 Austin (Tex.) Vandegrift offensive tackle Blake Frazier, On300 Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst offensive tackle Andrew Sprague, offensive tackle On300 Harper Woods (Mich.) High defensive back Jacob Oden, On300 Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth linebacker Mason Curtis, On300 Bellevue (Wash.) High tight end Hogan Hansen, industry four-star Cheshire (Conn.) Academy defensive lineman Jerod Smith, four-star Avon (Ohio) High interior offensive lineman Luke Hamilton, four-star Brandywine (Md.) Gwynn Park EDGE Devon Baxter, four-star Chicago (Ill.) Kenwood Academy wide receiver I’Marion Stewart, three-star Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day wide receiver Channing Goodwin, three-star Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward offensive tackle Ben Roebuck, three-star Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier defensive lineman Ted Hammond, three-star Ponte Vedra (Fla.) Beach interior offensive lineman Jake Guarnera, three-star Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall defensive lineman Manuel Beigel, three-star Princeton (N.J.) Hum School defensive lineman Owen Wafle, three-star Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic athlete Cole Sullivan, three-star Charlotte (N.C.) West linebacker Jaden Smith, and three-star South Park (Pa.) High linebacker Zach Ludwig.
The Wolverines are currently ranked No. 5 overall in the 2024 On3 Industry National Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 2 in the Big Ten Conference behind only Ohio State.
