With blue-chip prospects having the Seminoles high on the list, Florida State looking to add to Top 10 recruiting class

Florida State has On3’s No. 10 ranked recruiting class and Mike Norvell and his staff have several more coveted prospects in play as they aim to close this 2025 cycle strong.

On3 dives into the latest regarding the Seminoles on the trail.

Commit coming soon

West Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman safety Max Redmon will announce his college decision on Tuesday and FSU has been trending since the spring to land the in-state prospect.

“The staff, facilities, and the overall environment,” Redmon has said about the appeal of Florida State. “But it’s not just football. The life after football and the opportunities they provide outside of football is what stands out to me.”

Redmon will be a four-year varsity guy and to date has 162 tackles and four interceptions.

FSU trying to get on a roll

Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy On300 receiver Daylan McCutcheon is slated to give his commitment on July 13 and Florida State has been one of the programs trending as of late. They’ll need to hold off a late surge from USC.

“They’ve been recruiting me for a while and I love how Coach Norvell is able to push me each and every day,” McCutcheon has said. “I like how Coach (Ron) Dugans is and how the whole culture of the team is family fit wise and I like how the players are.”

A week after McCutcheon comes off the board, New Iberia (La.) Westgate On300 cornerback Jaboree Antoine will commit and the Seminoles are battling Miami and LSU.

Tabbed by the On3 Industry as the No. 9 cornerback and No. 84 prospect overall, Antoinie had a great official visit to Tallahassee in June.

“The energy that was expressed and shown from Coach Norvell and the staff from day one to day three didn’t change not one bit,” Antoine said.

“Comparing them to other programs they kept it real. They weren’t just telling me things I wanted to hear they were telling me the real.

“As I went threw the visit and grew a better relationship with Coach Pat (Surtain) and the whole defensive staff and how I would fit into the scheme it’s meant for me to make plays and be able to take a side of the field away.”

Exciting buzz regarding elite targets

Florida State will host On3’s No. 1 ranked linebacker Ty Jackson for an official visit the last weekend of the season for the Florida game. The Seminoles are on the short list for the Loxahatchee (Fla.) Seminole Ridge On300 linebacker and could also get him back at the end of this month. Other contenders include Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Penn State. No question the defending ACC Champs are near the top for Jackson.

On3 Industry five-star interior offensive lineman Josh Petty could come off the board this summer. The On3 RPM favors the Seminoles as they battle Georgia Tech, Stanford, Ohio State and Tennessee among others.

Quick Hitters

Still riding with the Florida State On3 prediction regarding four-star running back Byron Louis.

Seminoles are taking their shot with Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson On300 edge Jared Smith. The On3 RPM favors South Carolina but the vibe around Tallahassee is that FSU is in it. He is the No. 4 edge and No. 41 prospect nationally.

One source believes Florida State is in the top two with South Carolina for Rock Hill (SC) High four-star receiver Malik Clark.

Florida State is back in the thick of it for Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County On300 running back Ousmane Kromah. Auburn and Georgia are the other two top contenders. Kromah ranks as the On3 Industry’s No. 4 running back.
