Which recruits made it to watch Penn State-Delaware on Saturday?

Penn State’s visitor list for its matchup with Delaware was not expected to be a great turnout. From that standpoint, it lived up to expectations. The Nittany Lions hosted just over 30 prospects on Saturday, roughly 100 fewer than they had in town last weekend for the West Virginia game. Most were relatively local names with several being potential walk-ons for the Nittany Lions in the Class of 2024. A large group from Lancaster (Pa.) Catholic made up a big chunk of the visitor list. 

Only one prospect on hand, Class of 2024 running back commit Quinton Martin, possessed a scholarship offer from the Nittany Lions. Martin’s Belle Vernon squad outlasted McKeesport in overtime on Friday night in a big contest in the WPIAL. Martin has now been to both home games this season. 

Harrisburg (Pa.) Class of 2026 athlete Elias Coke was the only offered prospect expected on hand. Harrisburg’s game with Manheim Township was moved from Friday night to Saturday morning due to weather, however, and Coke was unable to make the trip. The Cougars fell to Township, 38-6, in the rescheduled contest.
