Where USC’s top 2024 targets rank in the On300
Here is where USC’s remaining 2024 recruiting targets stand in the updated On300 rankings…

Edge Jaylen Harvey – Quince Orchard (MD)
Harvey and his family took an unofficial visit to USC last weekend for the season opener vs San Jose St. at the Coliseum. Roy Manning has crushed it with the Harvey’s. As of today, the Trojans feel pretty about their chances with the talented 4-Star Maryland Edge.
There is a bit of a mixed bag of rankings for Harvey around the industry. He falls anywhere between the No. 20 EDGE and the No. 39 EDGE.
Harvey actually falls outside of the On300, being ranked as the No. 39 EDGE in the 2024 class. The industry rankings have him as the No. 350 overall prospect and No. 29 at the position.
DL Jericho Johnson – Armijo (CA)
One of the top defensive lineman out West has trimmed his list of 20-plus offers. Armijo (Calif.) defensive lineman Jericho Johnson announced his final four earlier this month with a heavy Pac-12 flavor.
The 6-foot-3, 285-pounder listed USC, Utah, Oregon and Washington as his finalists via social media. Currently Washington leads the On3 RPM at 41.6%.
Whoever does indeed land him will be getting one of the classes top talents at defensive line.
The On300 currently tabs Johnson as the No. 16 defensive lineman and No. 183 overall prospect.
As of right now, he would be the highest ranked defensive lineman in the class by far.
CB Sione Laulea – College of San Mateo (CA)
Four-Star CB Sione Laulea trimmed his list of schools to three earlier this month. USC, Oregon and Miami made the cut. Laulea has taken official visits to all three of his finalists.
There is no official On300 ranking for Laulea as he is a junior college prospect. The rankings for JUCO prospect as not as expansive. However, he has routinely been discussed one of the top overall junior college prospects this year and arguably the No. 1 cornerback.
LB Ephraim Asiata – Herriman (UT)
Asiata took his USC official visit when the Trojans trounced Stanford 56-10 at the Coliseum. We’re told it will be a tough battle to get him from Utah, but it’s up to USC to show how big of a priority Asiata is. Showing that to him is extremely important….sources tell us.
Asiata certainly is not going to be the biggest name you will be hearing in USC recruiting but is one that you should definitely know.
On3 ranks him as the No. 191 linebacker in the 2024 class and outside the national rankings, but USC sees something they like in Asiata.
Potential flip candidates
OL Justin Tauanuu – Huntington Beach (CA)
On Tuesday it was confirmed Justin Tauanuu, who’s currently 6-6 and 290+ pounds, plans to take a USC official visit at some point during the season or after. Stanford is concerned about losing him to USC down the road. Prior to Taunauu’s Stanford official visit, we were close to submitting a USC prediction.
What USC has going for it in a big way with Tauanuu is his interest was already high about USC in May. It’s where nearly everyone in his family hopes he ends up, Tauanuu’s had a taste of what the USC program is all about this season, and we’re told it made an impact.
The industry is higher on Tauanuu than On3 is. On3 ranks him as the No. 58 offensive tackle while the industry has him as the No. 28 offensive tackle.
He is outside the On300.
OT Fox Crader – Vancouver (WA)
Talented OT Fox Crader is committed to Oregon, but he did take an official visit to USC in June. USC has continued to pursue and we’ll see if Crader returns to the Coliseum this season to attend a game. We’ll see him in person next month.
Crader is highly ranked prospect as the No. 18 offensive tackle in the industry rankings.
In On3’s rankings, he falls just behind as the No. 23 offensive tackle.
