Where does Tennessee stand for 4-star Jordan Ross after Vols visit?

Four-star Vestavia Hills (Ala.) EDGE Jordan Ross was back on Rocky Top this weekend for his official visit with the Vols. Following the visit, he discussed the weekend trip, including visit highlights, time spent with the staff, and much more with Volquest.
For Ross, the trip was visit number five on Rocky Top for Ross and his family.
“I learned about all the academics and hung out with the players,” Ross said. “We got to hang on the lake and everything. It was pretty fun.”
Tennessee has been near the top of Ross’ list for a while and the weekend visit simply reinforced that.
“Tennessee is in the top three with Georgia and Florida,” Ross said. “It was a great weekend. I loved it.”
“I will probably make a silent commitment and not tell anybody but the coaches,” Ross said. “But I probably won’t announce anything till December or I might just pop it out you never know. It depends on how I feel about the school.”
You can see Volquest’s full interview with Ross below:
Ross is rated as the No.26 overall prospect and No.3 EDGE in the 2024 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Ratings. On3 rates Ross as the No.27 overall recruit and No.3 EDGE in the class.
Ross’ On3 Scouting Evaluation
He is an edge defender who plays with his hand in the dirt and in a 2-point stance with a prototypical body type and motor that allows him to harass offenses all game long. Measures in at 6-foot-4.5, 215 pounds with a 6-foot-8 wingspan. Ran an impressive 4.68 electronically-timed 40-yard dash paired with a 30-inch vertical and a 4.49 short shuttle during the spring camp circuit prior to his senior season. Strong and active hands at the point of attack. He flashes raw power when defending against the run while shedding blocks. Excellent first step, and get off. Tremendous closing speed in the open field, gains on ball carriers in a hurry. He will need to develop a wide array of pass-rush moves to reach his ceiling at the next level but it should come with collegiate coaching. Upside is through the roof and has his best ball ahead of him. On the younger end of the spectrum for the 2o24 recruiting cycle.
