What are Georgia’s chances with growing list of flip targets?

What are Georgia’s chances with growing list of flip targets?

Georgia added a 23rd commit to the class of 2025 on Saturday with the addition of four-star cornerback Jontae Gilbert.

The No. 135 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings was Georgia’s fifth defensive back commit in the class. The Bulldogs still have work to do in the class of 2025.

The uncommitted board shrunk a great deal in the last few months. Prospects all around the country have made their decisions.

Georgia was able to host a camp at the end of last month that unearthed more pursuable talent. As the class has rounded into shape, new targets have emerged.

Where does Georgia stand with those targets?

Evaluating Georgia’s chances at flip targets

4-star WR CJ Wiley (Florida State commit)

Skinny: Georgia has been communicating with Wiley heavily since he announced his decision to commit to Florida State in June. Wiley will be on campus at some point and he will be watching the offense closely this fall. There is work to do for James Coley but Wiley is still a priority target.

4-star EDGE Chase Linton (Rutgers commit)

Skinny: Georgia is in this for the long haul. Linton has remained pledged the Scarlett Knights. Rutgers’ staff has done a lot of good work building a bond with the four-star edge. Georgia checks a lot of Linton’s boxes. Nothing is imminent but Linton has a lot to think about. Chidera Uzo-Dirbe is communicating heavily and playing close to home is intriguing. The Bulldogs are in a good spot going into the fall.

4-star OL Damola Ajidahun (Georgia Tech commit)

Skinny: Ajidahun committed to the Yellow Jackets last week. He was a major Georgia targets before making the call for the hometown Jackets. The Bulldogs are a team to keep in your back pocket going into the fall.

3-star LB Anthony Kruah (North Carolina commit)

Skinny: Kruah committed to North Carolina before the Bulldogs offered. Kruah has remained committed to the Tar Heels. He has a lot on his mind. Georgia is Kruah’s dream school and has been in heavy communication. Today, the Bulldogs are in a good spot over the long haul.

3-star DL Braxton Kyle (Rutgers commit)

Skinny: Kyle is a new name on the the Buldogs’ radar. Georgia is a dream school for Kyle. If the Bulldogs push this fall, they will have a major shot at flipping the athletic big man at North Gwinett.

3-star RB Shane Marshall (Minnesota)

Skinny: Marshall has not publically announced an offer from the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are communicating heavily after a strong workout late last month. Marshall is big on bonds. He and Georgia running back coach Josh Crawford are in the infancy stages of building one. The early returns here feel positive for Georgia. Crawford’s South Georgia ties make him relatable to Marshall.
