West Virginia at Texas Tech odds: Early point spread released, How to Watch
Texas Tech and West Virginia are set to meet in the regular-season finale in a game that could give one a little bit of momentum heading into the offseason, though both still have a bowl game in front of them.
Both teams are coming off intense Big 12 contests the week prior, so nobody has the advantage of a bye week.
According to lines listed by FanDuel, Texas Tech will open as a 4.5-point favorite over West Virginia in the contest. The game’s over/under point total has also been set at 62.5 points.
That sets the expectation going into the game: The Red Raiders are favored, but not by enough that they should feel they’re in for an easy matchup against the Mountaineers.
How to watch Texas Tech vs. West Virginia
Time: TBD, Nov. 30
Channel: TBD, FuboTV (streaming)
Location: Jones AT&T Stadium — Lubbock, TX
Both teams will feel like they have a good shot to come out on top of this one, though West Virginia is coming off a much more convincing win against UCF the week prior.
Texas Tech was involved in a very back-and-forth affair with Oklahoma State, one that likely took a lot out of the squad in terms of effort and energy level. How quickly they can bounce back from that emotional affair will be key.
One easy way? Lean on running back Tahj Brooks, who has accounted for more than 1,250 yards on the ground already this season.
If he can get going, it gives Texas Tech a chance to operate from a position of comfort offensively.
For West Virginia, getting a good game out of quarterback Garrett Greene is key. Greene has been a little up and down this season, prone to the costly interception from time to time. He’ll have to be on point for West Virginia to have a good shot against Texas Tech.
Bottom line: Neither team is playing for a ton other than momentum at this point. Both have already locked up bowl bids.
This has the makings of a potentially sneaky good contest, though, particularly if both teams come out firing on all cylinders.
