WATCH: Quinn Ewers hits Isaiah Bond for opening-drive touchdown

After a quick three-and-out for the Texas defense, Quinn Ewers and the offense wasted little time getting on the scoreboard. Ewers hit wide receiver Isaiah Bond for a 7-yard scoring strike and the early, 7-0, lead from Darrel K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday night in Austin.

Bond, former Alabama transfer, caught three balls for 34 yards on the opening drive. But this particular pass was an absolute dart.

Texas went 84 yards on the opening drive on eight plays, with 3:52 coming off the clock in the first quarter. Ewers was 7-of-8, for 77 yards passing and one touchdown on the drive.

Before the game, it was announced that RB Jaydon Blue, DL Aaron Bryant, and DB Jelani McDonald were ruled OUT for the Longhorns versus UTSA in tonight’s game.
