Warchant TV: Summer enrollees following lead of FSU veterans, eager to contribute

All new incoming players, freshman and transfer, have now been on the campus of Florida State for a minimum of one week as summer workouts press on into June. On Tuesday, four newcomers discussed their experiences so far learning the playbook and understanding the expectations of veterans and the coaching staff. The last group on freshman enrollees will meet with the media on Thursday afternoon.

Ja’Bril Rawls pointed out the welcoming environment in the locker room as a big help in getting acclimated, he says despite being on campus for two weeks he feels as though he’s known his teammates his whole life.

Blake Nichelson, who played on both sides of the football in high school, anticipates accelerated growth now that he’ll focus on playing linebacker. He cites the leadership of Tatum Bethune as a helpful resource as he learns the playbook and expectations of the Adam Fuller defense.

Conrad Hussey called his decision to flip on his Penn State pledge on signing day a very emotional one but ultimately as a lifelong fan of FSU the opportunity to join the Seminoles was too great to pass up.

Edwin Joseph said while he’s eager to take on any role or opportunity presented by the coaching staff, the early plan is to work at the cornerback position.

Talk about this story with other die-hard FSU football fans on the Tribal Council.
