Warchant TV: Mike Norvell, FSU coordinators assess second preseason scrimmage

FSU scrimmaged for the second time this preseason with head coach Mike Norvell using the Sunday session to put the Seminoles in situational looks of two minute offense, red zone and more.

Norvell said quarterback Jordan Travis was “outstanding” and while veterans like Maurice Smith were given a lighter work load, sixth year linebacker Tatum Bethune used the scrimmage to reassert his game speed and playmaking.

Norvell said he intends to give the players Monday off and has scheduled meetings for Tuesday. The team will resume practice on Wednesday.

Defensive coordinator Adam Fuller feels his team put together it’s best week of attacking the ball and playing with aggression. “We’ve got a chance to be as good as there is,” said Fuller. “I feel really confident about the group of guys we have. I don’t put any limits to what this group can accomplish both as a team and as a defense”
