After 23 years guiding the Florida State men’s basketball program, Leonard Hamilton announced on Monday his resignation effective at the end of the 2024-25 season.
On Tuesday following a 67-60 win over Notre Dame, Hamilton talked to reporters for the first time since the university released a statement announcing the resignation.
“There comes a time when it’s just time,” said Hamilton when asked the reasoning for tendering his resignation.
“It’s just time. It’s time for FSU Basketball to have a new voice…and I think it’s what’s best for me.”
