Wait, did Rob Dillingham really go bald?

Bald Dillingham? Rob Baldingham? RobWitDaBalds? Former Kentucky star Rob Dillingham flipped the basketball world upside down Monday night when the Minnesota Timberwolves shared a photo of his shaved head. It came in response to a fan asking if the rookie guard was cutting his braids.

“Next time ya see me imma be bald,” Dillingham posted on social media.

That’s when the Timberwolves slid in and posted the most off-putting photo you’ll see this week, Dillingham exchanging his braids for a shiny bald head with a half-smirk.

“Can confirm,” the Timberwolves wrote.

Maybe he’s establishing a new identity going into his NBA career? Maybe he doesn’t want to deal with his hair in the mornings or before going out — never have to do it if you don’t have any, right?

Or maybe he’s just trolling. Better yet, he’s definitely just trolling.

Shortly after the Timberwolves posted his bald photo, he shared an update on his Instagram story showing what his hair actually looks like right now. He’s definitely got hair (and plenty of it).

“(Of course) I’m lying,” Dillingham wrote. “Maybe one day…”

The Timberwolves followed that up by doing the same, posting new photos of Dillingham with his braids, working out in Minnesota gear outside Target Field in the Twin Cities.

“Lol y’all thought,” the franchise wrote.

A good old April Fools’ joke in mid-August. Nothing beats ’em.
