Vanderbilt at Auburn: Wednesday injury report revealed

For the second time in as many years, Auburn and Vanderbilt are set to face off. Last year’s contest took place in Nashville as Hugh Freeze‘s squad took down the Commodores. Clark Lea will take his team on the road this season and hoping to leave the Plains with a win of their own. All-time, the series currently sits at 22-21-1 in favor of the Tigers.

Auburn is fresh off its first win since Sept. 14, breaking a four-game losing streak after beating Kentucky on the road. Running back Jarquez Hunter finally had the breakout game the Tigers were hoping for by having 278 rushing yards. Turnovers were not a huge storyline either, with Payton Thorne having just one interception but not playing a huge role in the result.

On the flip side, Vanderbilt was not able to pull off another top-10 upset at home. Texas was able to escape with a three-point victory despite a great comeback effort for Vandy. Lea is still searching for one more win in order to become bowl-eligible for the first time since 2018. Four more opportunities are there but getting it done against Auburn is the main goal.
