USC Tight End Malcolm Epps Enters Transfer Portal
USC tight end Malcolm Epps entered the transfer portal on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-6, 250-pound tight end came to USC as a transfer from Texas ahead of the 2021 season. Epps started five games and played in all 12 that year, catching 10 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown.
His production diminished last season, the first year under new head coach Lincoln Riley. Epps finished the 2022 season with just three receptions for 18 yards. Although, two of those catches did result in touchdowns. He also recorded an interception on a halftime hail mary against Fresno State.
Epps’ touchdowns came on a 10-yard catch against Fresno State and a 4-yard grab against Arizona State.
“These last two years at USC have been an absolute blast,” Epps said in a post on social media announcing the transfer. “I will always have Trojan blood running through my veins. With that being said, I am entering the transfer portal as a Grad transfer.”
