USC lands commitment from transfer portal wide receiver Prince Strachan

The USC Trojans scored again in the transfer portal as former Boise State wide receiver Prince Strachan is headed to Los Angeles.

The 6-foot-5, 211-pound receiver had a strong second season for the Broncos, catching 25 passes for 304 yards and a touchdown while playing in all 14 games with five starts.

Arguably his best performance came in his final one for the Broncos as he had four catches for 40 yards in a Fiesta Bowl loss to Penn State. He finished his three-year career at Boise State with 37 receptions for 578 yards and three touchdowns after using his redshirt season in 2022. He signed with the Broncos as a three-star prospect out of Florida in the 2022 recruiting class. He will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Trojans.

USC needed to find some receiving help in the portal this offseason after the Trojans saw three starting-caliber players depart in Kyron Hudson, Duce Robinson and Zachariah Branch. The Trojans also lose veteran backup Kyle Ford from last year’s rotation.

USC does have talent returning in Ja’Kobi Lane and Makai Lemon, but Strachan adds to the size on the outside and gives the Trojans someone who has some experience at this level but is still progressing. The Trojans signed three true freshmen in the 2025 recruiting class but USC added just one receiver in the 2024 class, so experienced scholarship depth was a concern going into the spring.
