USC flirting with Texas A&M QB commit Husan Longstreet
Corona (Calif.) Centennial On300 quarterback Husan Longstreet is one of the top signal-callers in the 2025 class.
The talented passer has been a verbal to Texas A&M since April. He chose the Aggies over an offer list that included Auburn, Ole Miss and Oregon.
USC was never really in the picture because they had gone in another direction, locking in on Julian Lewis early. The Trojans started reaching out to Longstreet this summer. USC quarterbacks coach Luke Huard has been having dialogue with Longstreet as Lewis continued to take visits and keep several other schools warm.
Things have really intensified with USC and Longstreet as of late.
“Husan likes the offense, Husan likes the leadership over at USC,” Longstreet’s father Kevin said. “He also likes the fact that it’s at home.”
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Longstreet is the jewel of a Texas A&M class that ranks No. 10 nationally.
“He’s still committed to the Aggies,” Kevin stated. “That’s what it is. Aggies never did nothing wrong. It’s just that he wasn’t pressed by USC.
“Things can change at any time but I don’t think they will. He’s happy where things are with Texas A&M right now.”
The On3 Industry ranks Longstreet as the nation’s No. 4 quarterback
“He’s really zoned in on the upcoming season that’s coming.”
As a junior Longstreet completed nearly 67 percent of his passes for 3,013 yards and 24 touchdowns with another 645 yards rushing and seven more scores.
USC has On3’s No. 18 ranked recruiting class.
