USC extends offer to elite 2025 Louisiana running back James Simon
USC and running backs coach Kiel McDonald have extended a new offer in the state of Louisiana to one of the 2025 prospects. It was two days ago that Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist Academy four-star running back James Simon reported his USC offer on Twitter.
Simon is the No. 139 overall prospect and No. 10 running back in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also ranked as the No. 4 player in Louisiana.
On3 is higher on Simon than the rest of the industry, ranking him as the No. 110 overall prospect in the country and the No. 3 running back. On3 ranks Simons as the No. 3 prospect in Louisiana.

Simon is well sought after at this point in his recruitment.
He holds offers from LSU, USC, Florida State, Houston, Auburn, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Oregon, Arizona, Georgia, Texas, Arkansas, TCU, ULM, Grambling State, and Louisiana Tech.
Simon’s Sophomore Breakout Season
In 2022, as a sophomore, Simon burst onto the scene for Calvary Baptist. In 12 games, Simon carried the ball 138 times for 1,005 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns. He also had 122 receiving yards and three touchdowns along with it.
