Updated odds released for key Colorado games exiting spring ball

Deion Sanders has the college football world buzzing about Colorado. Everyone is waiting for the highly anticipated spring game, where Folsom Field is expected to be sold out on Saturday. Plenty of star players are going to be on the field, hoping to turn the Buffaloes around in a positive direction.

Spring practice can be fun but of course, getting wins in the fall is all that matters. Two of Colorado’s most anticipated games of the season come against TCU and Nebraska — both occurring in the early portions of the schedule.

Lines for those two matchups have been released via Fan Duel. Despite all of the hype coming from Sanders, he finds his team as underdogs heading in.

Colorado, Nebraska renewing rivalry under first-year head coaches

If there is one way Sanders can kick off his time at Colorado with a bang, it’s by beating Nebraska in front of the Boulder faithful. Not too much more means more than beating the Huskers in the football program, with the rivalry dating back to the 1980s.

Bad blood is potentially brewing between the two coaches before spring practice is even over. Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule made a comment on the NCAA transfer portal opening up and many believe he was taking a direct shot at Sanders.

“Whereas I hear other schools say they can’t wait for today; the transfer portal,” Rhule said. “They can’t wait to go out. I can’t wait to coach my guys; let me tell you that. I’m not here; I’m not thinking about anybody else than this team that’s out here.”

To say Sanders will have his guys fired up would be an understatement. Not only will they be wanting to get revenge for those comments but Colorado has a series win streak alive as well. Getting a victory in September would make three straight. The Buffs have not pulled that off since the late 1950s.

Deion Sanders heads to Ft. Worth to face TCU

Sanders will have quite the opponent to face off against in Week 1, heading to Cow Town to face off against TCU. Of course, Sonny Dykes led his team to a national championship game last season and will be playing host in the return fixture of a home-and-home series.

Colorado already finds itself as a massive underdog in late April. Even so, both teams are going to look completely different from a season ago. Sanders has been masterful in the transfer portal, while TCU is experiencing a ton of roster turnover following their historic season.
