Unconscious Duke fan update: Status of woman revealed following scary scene, pausing game

A scary situation emerged during the second half of Duke‘s 74-64 win over NC State on Monday night. Late in the game, a fan passed out in the student section and appeared to remain limp as security whisked her away.

According to Pat Forde, the fan is doing just fine and even walked out of Cameron Indoor Stadium on her own accord.

The game was halted with 3:30 left in the second half when a group of security guards huddled to the first few rows of the student section behind the scorer’s table. The fan, who appeared to still be unconscious, was pulled out of the stands by the security and a group of them rushed her off the court.

The scary incident happened just after the game was previously stopped because Duke freshman Khaman Maluach threw up on the floor on the baseline. Maluach was taken to the locker room after getting sick, and it took several minutes for the crew to clean the court.
