UConn’s Stephon Castle declares for the 2024 NBA Draft

Stephon Castle did it all in his freshman season with at UConn, both individually and as part of a national title team. That’ll be all it for his college career, though, as he has now entered his name into the 2024 NBA Draft.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski shared the news of Castle’s decision on Twitter on Friday. The Husky freshman has declared for the draft while also hiring representation.

“After playing an immense part in a national title run, Connecticut freshman G Stephon Castle is entering the 2024 NBA Draft, he tells ESPN,” Wojnarowski wrote. “Castle has selected agents Joe Smith and Thad Foucher of @wassbasketball for his representation.”

Castle averaged 11.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists during his 34 games with Connecticut. He also shot 47.2% from the field. That was good for top-five on the team in points, rebounds, and assists, including third in assists.

That earned Castle recognition as the Big East Freshman of the Year. He also earned spots on the All-Regional and Final Four All-Tournament Teams in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
