He started 61 games over the last two seasons and averaged 6.9 points per game this year. He played in 36 games this year, averaging 10.8 minutes per outing.

Andrews’ best season in Westwood came in 2023-24 when he started all 32 games for the Bruins. He averaged 12.9 points per game and added 2.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists on average as a sophomore.

This past season, Andrews started 29 of his 32 appearances. He averaged 6.9 points and 3.4 assists during that time as UCLA made it to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Dylan Andrews played high school basketball at Los Angeles (Calif.) Windward School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 47 overall player and No. 7-ranked point guard from the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Andrews is one of several UCLA players to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal since the season ended. Forwards William Kyle and Devin Williams were among the players who also opted to transfer once the portal window opened on Monday.

The Bruins went 23-11 overall this past season, including a 13-7 record in their first year in the Big Ten. They made the NCAA Tournament as a No. 7 seed and handily defeated Utah State in the Round of 64. However, Tennessee proved to be too much as UCLA suffered the 67-58 loss.

Afterward, a reporter was preparing to ask Mick Cronin a question about next year with the offseason upon his program. However, after the reporter acknowledged the early nature of the question, Cronin cut him off because of the late hour and said he was more worried about the uncomfortable flight home.

“Right now, guys, it’s 12:40 a.m. and our season just ended. That’s it. You’re gonna ask me about next year? Right now, my biggest concern is how bad the seats are on the Allegiant flight,” Cronin said.

“On that terrible plane that we’re gonna have to fly home tomorrow. The cheese. The plane version of the cheese… And is there any chance that Doug got me some hot food because I don’t eat on gameday, that I got something edible? Not next year. Not right now, guys.”
