Tyree Adams injury update: LSU OT posts unexpected photo after injury report appearance
After appearing on Wednesday’s injury report against Arkansas, LSU offensive lineman Tyree Adams posted a photo of Instagram. He appeared to be out of a surgery, which he called “successful.”
It’s unclear what injury led to Adams’ operation, but he expressed his gratitude for those who checked in on him. He’s in the middle of his redshirt freshman season with LSU and looks to be on track to start on the Tigers’ offensive line next season.
“Successful surgery,” Adams wrote on his IG story on Wednesday. “Thank you to everyone who checked on me!”
Adams arrived on campus last year as a four-star prospect out of Marrero (La.) St. Augustine. He was the No. 195 overall player and No. 13-ranked offensive tackle from the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He didn’t appear in a game last year as he took a redshirt.
Adams was one of eight LSU players listed as out on Wednesday’s availability report ahead of Saturday’s game against Arkansas. Two more reports will release throughout the week, and a final one will drop prior to kickoff.

One notable absence from Wednesday’s injury report is Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green. He left the Razorbacks’ Week 6 upset win over Tennessee with a knee injury, although Sam Pittman said he likely avoided ligament damage. While speaking on the SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday, Pittman said Green’s status was still to be determined against LSU, but his absence from the availability report is a sign he’s ready to jump back under center out of the bye.
Green has a bone bruise, Pittman previously said, and has shown some good things in practice in the lead-up to the LSU game. It’s safe to say he’ll be ready to go for Saturday’s affair, which will be at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
