Ty Majeski wrecks into Frankie Muniz causing multi-truck incident at Bristol

We couldn’t get through the first stage without a major incident. Ty Majeski got into Frankie Muniz while lapping him at Bristol. From there, a couple of other drivers piled up into the mess. A wild NASCAR race already on this chilly night in Bristol.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series has had a couple of cautions early. No practice or qualifying today, so they went out onto the track blind more or less to what their trucks had.

Ty Majeski said he thought Frankie Muniz was going to go one way, he went the other. The two ended up wrecking, and their driver’s side windows were right up against each other. I’m sure they had a nice conversation.

Brandon Jones and Stewart Friesen had nowhere to go and they piled into Majeski and Muniz. It looks like all four of these drivers will be done for the day, or will have severe damage moving forward.

Here is a more complete view of the wreck. Ty Majeski said he thought Frankie Muniz was going to stick to the top. However, it looks like Majeski misread the situation rather than Muniz making an unpredictable move.

Either way, this incident ended in a multi-truck wreck. You hate that for Jones and Friesen. All the trucks besides Muniz, who was being lapped, had a really strong run going. Those are three top-five trucks taken out of the race in one moment.
