Trevon Diggs apologizes to reporter following Sunday confrontation, gifts him can of Dee’s Nuts
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs has buried the hatchet with the reporter he had a confrontation with following Sunday’s loss to San Francisco. Diggs apologized to WFAA’s Mike Leslie on Wednesday after speaking with the media, even bringing gifts.
The moment between Diggs and Leslie ended with the Cowboys star dropping a “Deez nuts” joke while walking away. To make light of the moment, Diggs brought a couple cans of Dee’s Nuts. One went to Leslie while the other one was kept in Diggs’ possession. They cheersed the nut cans and officially moved on.
“Trevon Diggs and I have cleared the air,” Leslie said via X. “He apologized for the hallway incident, and I apologized for misreading the play — he explained that what I interpreted as him jogging was in fact him slow-playing a potential cutback from George Kittle. We buried the hatchet with a couple canisters of Dee’s Nuts, that he presented to me after his interview with press was complete.”
