Transfer Portal: Latest intel on top remaining players

The dead period has officially ended, meaning transfer portal visits are underway again. And with bowl season underway, more and more teams are amidst their five-day portal window.

On3 is breaking down the latest intel on the top available remaining transfer portal players:

Arizona CB Tacario Davis
With a visit to Washington in the works, the Huskies appear to be the early leader. Tacario Davis’ former Arizona coach, Jedd Fisch, just wrapped up Year One in Seattle.

USC WR Zachariah Branch
Sources tell On3 that discussions between Tennessee and Zachariah Branch’s camp remain as the two sides work to find a date for a possible visit. Texas is another school in the mix, and Georgia and Arizona State previously landed visits.

South Dakota State WR Griffin Wilde
Louisville is pushing to land a visit from Griffin Wilde, who is also considering Washington State. The Cougars recently hired Wilde’s former head coach, Jimmy Rogers.

Tennessee WR Mike Matthews
As of Wednesday morning, Tennessee wide receiver Mike Matthews has not officially entered the transfer portal and is still working through a decision with his family. On3’s Austin Price reports Tennessee has until Thursday to enter Matthews’ name due to the holiday.

Utah State RB Rahsul Faison
Rahsul Faison begins his official visit schedule on Wednesday, visiting Florida State today. His next few days consist of stops at Georgia, Utah and North Carolina.

Tulane TE Alex Bauman
Along with Miami landing a visit, Duke and Indiana are also in the mix for Alex Bauman.

Kentucky WR Hardley Gilmore
Hardley Gilmore is still active in the transfer portal and his name has not been withdrawn yet, but Kentucky is doing everything it can to hold on to the former four-star recruit.

South Dakota State RB Angel Johnson
Sources tell On3 that Angel Johnson has received interest from Louisville, Tennessee and Washington State. He produced 1,134 all-purpose yards and 5 touchdowns for the Jackrabbits this season.

Nebraska WR Isaiah Neyor
Louisville is working to bring Isaiah Neyor in for a visit this weekend, sources tell On3.

Tennessee WR Squirrel White
Sources continue to tell On3 that Squirrel White wants to play closer to his home of Birmingham, Alabama. Obviously Alabama and Auburn would make sense, but other Power Four schools are going to make a run at White.

Texas State EDGE Ben Bell
Ben Bell is scheduled to visit Ole Miss on Jan. 6, a source tells On3.

Clemson WR Troy Stellato
Troy Stellato tells On3 that he will visit West Virginia on Jan. 5, but Michigan is also in the mix.

Florida State WR Malik Benson
While Texas A&M and Kansas State are both expected to receive visits, the Aggies are viewed as an early leader for Malik Benson.

North Carolina LB Caleb LaVallee
Caleb LaVallee is at Florida State on Wednesday, and the Seminoles have all the momentum. I previously submitted a prediction for Lavallee to land in Tallahassee.

Nevada WR Cortez Braham
Cortez Braham is looking at taking visits to Kansas, Memphis, and Arkansas over the next week. Cal and UCLA are also interested in a possible visit.

Oregon LB Jaeden Moore
Jaeden Moore is scheduled to visit Virginia Tech and Pitt this month, as Nebraska also pushes for a visit.

Nevada WR Michael Coats
Nevada wide receiver Michael Coats tells On3’s Paul Jones that he’s heard from Baylor, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Cincinnati.

Texas State DL Tavian Coleman
Texas State defensive lineman Tavian Coleman will head to Purdue on Jan. 6 and California on Jan. 8, his agent tells On3’s Steve Wiltfong. Colorado is also working to get something set up with Coleman.

Prairie View A&M OT William Boone
According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong, William Boone will visit North Carolina on Jan. 2 and then head to Colorado for two days beginning on Jan. 3. He will be in Boulder till Jan. 5.

Iowa State QB JJ Kohl
Plans are in the works for JJ Kohl to visit Appalachian State and FIU in the near future.

Purdue WR C.J. Smith
C.J. Smith has visits scheduled for UCF, Memphis and USF.

Ohio State OT Zen Michalski
Sources tell On3 that Zen Michalski is down to Kansas State and Indiana.

Yale WR David Pantelis
David Pantelis tells On3 that he is working on scheduling visits to Stanford, West Virginia, Michigan and Purdue.

Southern Miss CB Braxton Myers
Mississippi State, USF, Colorado State, Tulsa, WKU and Louisiana-Monroe have all offered Braxton Myers.
