Top recruits set to watch South Carolina in Charlotte

South Carolina won’t open its 2023 season in the confines of Williams-Brice Stadium but there will still be plenty of top recruits in attendance to watch the Gamecocks’ first football game of the year.

The NCAA allows schools to “host” prospects for neutral site matchups such as South Carolina’s opener with North Carolina on Saturday night in Charlotte, though there are some limitations.

The Gamecocks are able to provide tickets for prospects, just as if it was a home game, however, the coaching staff and recruiting staffers are not allowed to actually interact with those recruits.

Still, it’s an easy opportunity for the Gamecocks to host top prospects who may have an easy drive to Charlotte, something they plan to take full advantage of.

Below are some expected visitors for the opener, which is set for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on Saturday night.
