Top PFF grades from No. 1 Texas’ 35-13 win over Mississippi State
In their first SEC conference matchup, the No. 1 Texas Longhorns defeated Mississippi State, 35-13, on Saturday from Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Here’s how the team graded out via PFF.

OFFENSE
QB – Arch Manning, 94.2
In his second career start after Quinn Ewers was injured in the win over UTSA, Manning was a surgical 26-of-31 passing, 324 yards, two touchdown tosses and one rushing score. Manning’s gamer mentality was on full display Saturday.
RB – Tre Wisner, 73.0
Wisner came off the injured list to propel the Texas rushing attack Saturday from DKR. He tallied 88 yards rushing on 13 carries to the tune of almost seven yards per carry.
WR – Isaiah Bond, 74.0, Deandre Moore, 73.3
Bond and Moore had fantastic days on Saturday vs the Bulldogs. Moore led the receivers with 103 yards on four receptions and two touchdowns. Bond added 100 total yards (74 receiving, 26 rushing) and one score. Moore’s late second quarter score was huge for the Horns heading into halftime.
Bond was superb on this Counter Bluff Reverse.
TE – Gunnar Helm, 50.4
Helm held down the tight end position with 23 yards on five catches Saturday.
OL – Kelvin Banks, 81.7, Hayden Conner, 69.5, Jake Majors, 65.8
Despite numerous penalties, the Texas offensive line played well on Saturday, helping the offense to 522 total yards.
DEFENSE
DL/EDGE – Colin Simmons, 85.6, Vernon Broughton, 86.9, Jermayne Lole, 79.4
The Texas defensive front continually made life difficult for MSU quarterbacks Michael Van Buren and Chris Parson. Simmons notched seven tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks. Broughton added five tackles and one sack.
LB – David Gbenda, 69.5, Morice Blackwell, 64.3
Gbenda was tremendous (eight tackles, one TFL) on Saturday, leading the Texas linebacking crew.
CB – Malik Muhammad, 69.8, Jahdae Barron, 65.7
Texas’ corner tandem continues to lock down receivers at DKR. Both added pass breakups and both resemble NFL cornerbacks. Barron tallied six tackles and one pass breakup, while Muhammad added three tackles and one tackle for loss.

S/N – Andrew Mukuba, 81.5, Michael Taaffe, 63.8
Texas’ safeties keep setting the pace in the Horns defensive backfield. Mukuba tallied five tackles, and one pass breakup, while Taaffe added four tackles and one pass deflection.
