Top-50 LB Noah Mikhail hoping for Miami game day visit as Hurricanes remain on radar

La Verne (Calif.) Bonita four-star 2025 linebacker Noah Mikhail, the No. 49 overall prospect in the On3 Recruiting Rankings, didn’t get to stick around for Miami’s spring game when he last visited the Hurricanes in mid-April. But with the season underway, he’s hoping for a return visit to South Florida for a game day visit.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker, who has emerged as one of the top prospects in the 2025 class and holds offers from more than two dozen programs including Alabama, Ohio State, USC and Notre Dame, has heard directly from Miami head coach Mario Cristobal and linebackers coach Derek Nicholson since coaches became permitted to directly contact 2025 recruits. Mikhail said the Hurricanes’ staff has “shown a lot of love” and has continued to capture his attention.

“I enjoyed my visit up there (April 14,)” Mikhail said. “The coaching staff is amazing, and I just want to keep building my relationship with them and see where that takes me.”

USC, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, Notre Dame, Washington, Michigan State, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Ohio State and Michigan have all blown up Mikhail’s phone over the last month, but Miami’s history of elite linebackers and his relationship with the Hurricanes’ coaching staff has kept the Canes in the mix early.

In a perfect world, Mikhail said he would like to visit all of his schools, so he’s working on finalizing his schedule and narrowing down a list of schools to visit. He’d like to make another trip to Coral Gables but hasn’t looked at any specific dates.

“The atmosphere is great, and the coaches have a different type of energy they are bringing to that program,” Mikhail said.

Mikhail added he wants to see how the rest of Miami’s season plays out, pointing to the Oct. 21 game against Clemson and the November contest against Florida State in Tallahassee.

However, while Miami’s on-field success this season plays a factor in Mikhail’s interest, he doesn’t believe it will be the end-all-be-all.

“It’s all about fit and relationships for me,” Mikhail said.

CaneSport’s Take

Mikhail, the No. 4 linebacker in the 2025 class, is a wildly talented prospect who would likely still be a major recruit regardless of his recruiting class, and while he may be a West Coast prospect, Miami has done a good job of keeping him intrigued by South Florida. Getting Mikhail to Miami for a game day visit would go a long way in his recruitment, although there’s still more than enough time for the four-star linebacker.
