Top 100 WR Nick Marsh schedules Michigan State official visit
Nick Marsh, ad On300 wide receiver recruit from River Rouge (Mich.) High School, has scheduled an official visit to Michigan State for June 23, the four-star has confirmed to SpartanMag. The Top 100 recruit originally committed to the Spartans on July 31 before reopening his recruitment March 7.
“(Michigan State) has always been one of my tops schools,” Marsh tells SpartanMag. “I just want to make sure I go through my entire recruiting process so I can make the best decision for me and my family.”
Marsh has scheduled additional official visits with Penn State beginning on June 2 and Auburn on June 16. This gives Michigan State and wide receivers coach Courtney Hawkins the final visit before the four-star prospect’s scheduled decision. Marsh is set to announce his commitment on July 7.
Marsh had a busy spring, visiting multiple Power Five schools. Penn State, Auburn, Tennessee, and Michigan were among the schools that received a visit. Marsh has visited Michigan State a total of six times during his recruitment process. His latest trip to East Lansing was in January 2022.
Marsh is ranked the No. 73 recruit overall, the No. 15 wide receiver, and the No. 3 player in the state of Michigan, according to the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Noah’s Take
The four-star receiver will remain a top priority for the Michigan State staff this recruiting cycle. The Spartans remain in a strong position to land the in-state recruit, despite his de-commitment earlier this spring.
Marsh was open and honest that he would like to take visits to other schools and make certain that his decision was the correct one. In doing so, the four-star wanted to respect the Spartans’ coaching staff and decided it was best to visit other programs while not committed to another, rather than take visits elsewhere while committed to Michigan State.
The Spartans are also set to host On300 four-star Garden Grove (Calif.) Warren WR Jordan Ross for an official visit June 2.
