Top 100 WR Andrew Marsh talks Michigan, BBQ visit, more ahead of upcoming decision

Top 100 WR Andrew Marsh talks Michigan, BBQ visit, more ahead of upcoming decision

Michigan hosted a handful of its top remaining 2025 recruiting targets this weekend, including Top 100 Katy (Texas) Jordan wide receiver Andrew Marsh.

Marsh has been a frequent visitor this offseason but wanted to make sure to get back to U-M for one last visit before his decision.

“What really made it different from some of the other visits was the freedom,” Marsh said. “I’ve been up there a ton, obviously, so they gave me the freedom to get done what I needed to get done. I saw everything else I needed to see. We got to go float down the river, which was cool. Other than that, we chilled at The Big House, spent some time at the BBQ and looked at some real estate.”

Marsh was initially set to make his decision on Veteran’s Day in November. However, Marsh is now heavily leaning towards announcing on Aug. 20, the birthday of his late father.

That means this was U-M’s final opportunity to make its pitch.

“Some of the messages they gave me were that it’s a winning program,” Marsh said. “It’s somewhere where they’ll get you to the next level. Also, they are changing some things and getting more explosive in the passing game.”

Michigan wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy has made Marsh a top priority for more than a year. The relationship there is already extremely strong. This visit was more about sitting down with Bellamy and going over scheme and fit.

“It was good to go up there and talk to him again,” Marsh said. “We went into his office and got on the board. He was drawing some things up. It was good, once again, to get to hear from him and pick his brain a little bit.”

Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore has been personally involved in the Marsh recruitment and reiterated why U-M is the perfect place for the talented pass cather.

“That was good,” Marsh said. “We really got to talk to him. He stays in contact, but it was good to get back up there and see him in person. We talked about what we’ve talked about in the past — that I’m a priority for them and that Michigan is somewhere they want me to come play.”

This visit also gave Marsh a chance to work out with Top 100 Michigan quarterback commit Brady Hart, who made a strong impression.

“I’m not going to cap, but Brady is crazy,” Marsh said with a laugh. “He can really throw it. Quarterback wise, they have a bright future. It was good to get some good work with him. It’s hard to describe how he throws the ball. It’s different than any ball I’ve caught before. It has the right amount of power, and he gets it where it needs to be. I think he’s above his age level. He plays like that.”

With his decision now likely just weeks away, Marsh knows exactly what he’s looking for in his future home.

“For me, it’s about going somewhere that’s going to push me educationally,” Marsh said. “I really want to get into real estate, entrepreneurship and business. I want a fair chance to play early. Really, just get developed and get to the league.”

Along with Michigan, Marsh is also considering Kentucky, Washington, USC and a few others.

At 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, Marsh is ranked as the No. 11 wide receiver and No. 62 overall prospect nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking.
