Top 100 RB commit Jordan Marshall makes his case on several Michigan targets

Top 100 Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller running back Jordan Marshall has been committed to Michigan for over a month now and has stayed active in regards to building relationships with the priority targets who have yet to make a decision.

Marshall, who will return to Ann Arbor for his official visit on June 16th, isn’t focusing on running backs either but also his fellow Ohio natives who have expressed high interest in Michigan, as well as a pair of notable offensive linemen.

The Wolverines are No. 5 overall in the 2024 On3 Industry National Team Recruiting Rankings and are tied for first with the most verbal commitments (15) in the 2024 class.

On Thursday, Marshall spoke to The Wolverine about the recruits he’s in communication with and makes the case on why each athlete should join him at Michigan.

RB Taylor Tatum, Longview (Tex.) High

Marshall’s Pitch: “I want to compete with (Taylor Tatum). I want him to come here so we can make each other better. A lot of running backs don’t want that but I think we can feed off each other and make each other better every single day. Whether it’s working out or just being better people, I want him to join the family. We have the best offensive line in the country to run behind. I want him there.”

CB Bryce West, Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville

Marshall’s Pitch:(Bryce West) would be good for Michigan because he’s a dude and he works hard. I think those go hand-and-hand. Coach (Steve) Clinkscale would love him there and he would be really good in our system. It’s the opportunity to play for us, win a Natty and lock up all of the dudes at Ohio State.”

CB Aaron Scott, Springfield (Ohio) High

Marshall’s Pitch: “It’s remembering when we played against each other and laughing whenever Aaron (Scott) tackled me or whenever I ran him over (laughs). To already have that friendship now, it would mean a lot for us to be teammates at Michigan. Same thing with Bryce, come win a national championship with us.”

OT Bennett Warren, Ford Bend (Tex.) Christian Academy

Marshall’s Pitch:Bennett (Warren) is the funniest dude. The first time that I met him, we ended up shadow boxing (laughs). He’s such a great guy and fits so well with the group. He’s really nice. I think it would be cool to have him because you could see all of us together at the spring game. He’s not even committed but the relationship already clicked. No one cared about being committed or uncommitted, we were just hanging out and being dudes.”

RB Darrion Dupree, Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel

Marshall’s Pitch: “I actually talked to Darrion (Dupree) the other day and I said ‘I want you to come join me.’ I was straight up with it and didn’t even text him like ‘hey.’ We camped a long time ago and I can just tell that we would work. I think we would compliment each other well. We’re different on the field so the sky is the limit. Plus, he would be coached up by coach (Mike) Hart and the OG (Fred Jackson).”

IOL Max Anderson, Frisco (Tex.) Reedy

Marshall’s Pitch: “Coach (Sherrone) Moore is the best offensive line coach in the country, no question. You can just tell that he develops all of his players and not just those who are starting. I want to see Max (Anderson) there because I want to see him compete. Our offensive linemen are going to compete every day and it’s not going to be easy. But if he wants to fight for a job, Michigan is the place to do it.”

EDGE Brian Robinson, Austintown (Ohio) Fitch

Marshall’s Pitch: “I’ve seen the dude at camps working hard and training. Brian (Robinson) is always posting motivational stuff on social media which is really cool. I think our personalities are very similar. We grind and get to work. That’s what Michigan is all about. We grind and you don’t see anyone at Michigan talking. We just work in silent. B-Rob would fit in here because he’s a good dude. Culture fits are who we’re looking for and he would make Michigan a better place.”

RB Micah Ka’apana, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman

Marshall’s Pitch: “From watching his film, Micah (Ka’apana) is very elusive. That was really cool to watch because it’s different. He’s quick, twitchy and I think we could help each other to get better. Develop each other to get the best versions of ourselves.”
