Top 100 prospect Grant Brix begins official visit to Kansas State

We have often discussed the boost to the recruiting profile of both Kansas State football and basketball in recent weeks.
It was prevalent when Jerome Tang and company outlasted a bunch of SEC programs for transfer addition Tylor Perry, taking down Alabama and Kentucky for Creighton transfer Arthur Kaluma, defeating Kansas for David Castillo and being in the discussion for the likes of Patrick Ngongba and Derrion Reid.
Chris Klieman and K-State flexed their recruiting muscle a year ago when they won battles with Power Five programs for several premiere prospects that included Asa Newsom, Avery Johnson, Will Anciaux, Andre Davis, Will Lee, Joe Jackson, Jordan Allen and Tre Spivey.
The Wildcats are at it again, too. For the sixth time in his recruiting process, four-star offensive lineman Grant Brix of Iowa is visiting Kansas State. It is the second official visit of his recruiting cycle, as he saw Oklahoma a week ago. Alabama and Nebraska are still on the docket as well.
K-State was the first school to extend him a scholarship, which was about a year ago, and they continued to be the only one to pull the trigger on an offer and believe in him for months later. That faith and persistent communication has allowed them to be competitive for the blue-chipper.
Offensive line coach Conor Riley has been busy. He is anticipating a large exodus of offensive linemen after the 2023 season, and he has recruited with more vigor because of it. Kansas State already has three commits in Ryan Howard, Gus Hawkins and Kyle Rakers.
Hawkins and Rakers will be in Manhattan this weekend as well.
Brix is listed as the No. 4 interior offensive line prospect in the entire nation according to the On3 rankings and the best interior offensive lineman in America according to the On3 Industry Ranking (a combination of the four networks).
He is also labeled the No. 83 overall player in the country. Stay tuned to KSO for updates on his visit throughout the weekend and the latest on the impact of the trip in the days afterwards.
