Top 100 Michigan QB commit Brady Hart talks BBQ visit, building ‘special’ 2026 recruiting class

Top 100 Cocoa (Fla.) High quarterback Brady Hart is the face of Michigan’s 2026 recruiting class.

Hart is doing everything he can to help the Wolverines build something special next cycle and was back in Ann Arbor for the BBQ at The Big House late last month to develop relationships with some of U-M’s biggest targets.

“It was a really fun time,” Hart said. “We had so many elite players on one field running some routes and spending time together for the BBQ. We played some games and beat up on each other on EA. It was awesome. The 2026 class is going to be really special. I’m excited to see what guys jump onboard.”

The visit weekend resulted in one commit as On300 2026 Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin cornerback Brody Jennings jumped onboard.

“I spent a bunch of time with him,” Hart said. “I was super pumped for him. He’s such a huge piece. I’m excited to see the class Brody and I can build these next couple of years.”

Hart added that he spent a ton of time with several key targets on the offensive side of the ball.

“I worked on everybody,” Hart said with a laugh. “Andrew Marsh is a stud 2025 wide receiver. Jaylen Pile, Jerome Myles, Savion (Hiter) and a bunch of offensive lineman like the kid from Providence Day (Leo Delaney). I talked to them a bunch. I was just being myself and showed them why I chose Michigan and what it has to offer.”

This visit also gave Hart an opportunity to get to know multiple members of Michigan’s 2025 recruiting class.

“I really liked Andrew Olesh and Eli (Owens),” Hart said. “Julius Holly is a really cool kid. I talked with Jasper (Parker) and Jacob (Washington) a lot, too. The culture is awesome. I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to be a part of it. I think a bunch of the guys that saw the group of commits will say ‘that’s something I want to be a part of.’”

Aside from relationship building, Hart was able to connect with Michigan quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell, who led the way in his recruitment this offseason.

The two actually hit the field for a small camp workout during Hart’s stay in Ann Arbor.

“It was my first time getting to throw with him and him having full rein to coach me,” Hart said. “It was awesome. It was super helpful for me and my game this season, just giving me things to work on. He gave me pointers on how I can excel on the mental side. It was exactly what I committed to. His style is exactly what he said it was going to be. I really enjoyed it.”

New Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore was also involved on the visit and made another strong impression.

“He’s as real as it gets,” Hart said. “He’s an awesome, fun guy. He’s the exact guy you want as your head coach. He’s a players first guy. It was super fun having him around on the visit.”

Hart plans to get back to Michigan for at least one game this season.

At 6-foot-5, 185 pounds, Hart is ranked as the No. 8 quarterback and No. 89 overall recruit nationally in the 2026 class, per the On3 Industry Ranking.
