Tom Brady to Micah Parsons: ‘I don’t owe you sh*t’

NFL legend Tom Brady enjoyed the privileges of his minority ownership stake in the Raiders on Saturday night, hitting the sidelines ahead of the game versus the Dallas Cowboys. Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons was among the many hoping to grab a second of the former Patriots quarterback’s time.
Based on their brief interaction, the former foes have released any of the animosity they built up over the last two seasons.
“He owes me, he owes me,” Parsons said, with Brady responding, “I don’t owe you sh*t, you hit me too much!”
Last season, Parsons became the very last player to sack Brady when the Cowboys ended the Buccaneers’ playoff run in the first round. The former Nittany Lions star had a sack and two tackles for loss in the 31-14 victory.
Parsons also had two sacks on Brady during the 2023 season opener. The quarterback lost 17 yards on those sacks, but ultimately, won the game.
Parsons uses Brady example to defend rookies
As much as Parsons has given Brady a hard time over the last two years, the former Buc also taught him some lessons early on. Defending rookies in the league last week, he pointed out how Brady “destroyed” him, and yet, he won defensive rookie of the year and then finished second for defensive MVP this season.
“Idk why we put so many expectations on rookies it takes so long to get adapted to the NFL!!” Parsons shared. “Tom Brady destroyed me opening night!! You just gotta learn and stay positive! Never make the same mistakes twice!”
The third-year Cowboys player has been champing at the bit all summer to hit quarterbacks again – even hitting his own at times in camp. After cameras caught Parsons starting a fight with Tyler Biadasz in Oxnard, he defended his choices.
“I’m here to make them better,” Parsons said. “I push myself to the greater good and me pushing myself is only gonna make them better, at the end of the day. I don’t care who I’m up against… Don’t care if it’s Tyron [Smith], if it’s Zack [Martin], if it’s Tyler Smith — I’m gonna beat the hell out of them.
“It’s only gonna make them better. … This is where championships get started — right here in camp. The goal is to bring that out, and the camaraderie, to bring it all together. It’s only one goal at the end of the day.”
There are just two more weeks of Parsons hitting his teammates instead of opposing players. The Cowboys open the 2023 slate versus the New York Giants and quarterback Daniel Jones.
