Three offensive line targets to camp with Auburn Monday

As the summer camp series begins for Auburn, there will be several intriguing prospects who partake in the camp series. There will be new names, there will be familiar names.
When Auburn holds camp on Monday, there will be three familiar names to those who follow Auburn recruiting closely.
Reese Baker, an unranked offensive tackle from Huntsville (Ala.) Madison Academy, Williams Echoles, a 3-star interior offensive lineman from Houston (Miss.), and John Wayne Oliver, a 3-star offensive tackle from Nashville (Tenn.) CPA will camp with Auburn on Monday.
Baker is the most well-known name. He was offered in early May, but has quickly become a candidate to land in Auburn’s class. Echoles is someone to track as he is well liked by Tigers’ offensive line coach Jake Thornton. Oliver has visited Auburn at least once. That visit took place for Auburn’s junior day.
There very well may be other familiar names at camp for Auburn as soon as Monday.
If not, Auburn summer camps have been events to track due to several players flying under the radar before making a splash in front of coaches.
During the 2023 recruiting cycle, it was JC Hart from nearby Loachapoka High who stood out running a 4.37 forty time.
Tigers’ 2023 defensive line signee Stephen Johnson was also a standout during camp a year ago.
Why Baker is camping with Auburn
Baker more than likely does not have to prove anything to the Auburn staff, or to Thornton, who seem to love him. He wanted to camp and compete in Auburn’s camp a source tells Auburn Live.
He also wants to see what its like to be coached by Thornton, again. Baker attended an Ole Miss camp while Thornton was the offensive line coach for the Rebels.
“They are definitely high on my list,” Baker said to Auburn Live’s Jeffrey Lee. “They are definitely the team to beat, for sure. I grew up in a household that’s big Auburn fans. I’ve been towards Ole Miss and Auburn, which is how I know Coach Thornton because he was the Ole Miss o-line coach. He was a great coach over there, so I know he’ll be a great coach at Auburn.”
