Three new significant offers from Kansas State

We take a gander at three significant offers in the last few weeks that could be pretty impactful to the Kansas State recruiting efforts. Obviously, there could have been a few more and some were left off, as the Wildcats have been very busy both at home and elsewhere on the camp circuit.

Kansas State safety target Dominic Mitchell

The first camp of the cycle for Kansas State was the one they hosted at Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan. It may have been the most talented camp they have conducted since coaching for the Wildcats. A double-digit number of prospects were offered.

One of those was Arizona native Dominic Mitchell.

The Brophy Prep standout was offered by K-State almost immediately. Defensive coordinator Joe Klanderman couldn’t have loved him more. No other Power Four school has yet to pull the trigger but he is already slated to take an official visit to Manhattan on June 14.

Linebacker target Ashton Moore

Secondly, it’s hard to ignore a Kansas State offer to the younger brother of someone currently on the roster that is also from the Sunflower State. Louisburg linebacker Ashton Moore shined enough to warrant a scholarship offer.

That is different than his older brother Austin Moore. Despite what looks to be a career of a three-year starter in Manhattan, the older Moore had to walk on at K-State and earn his offer. I’d imagine it won’t take long for the younger Moore to pick the Wildcats.

Cornerback target Martel Jackson

I’ll admit that I picked Derby cornerback Martel Jackson before another was added to the target board by the Kansas State coaches. It just wasn’t a spot that was receiving a ton of attention or having a lot of different bodies vying for the unfulfilled spaces in the class.

Aside from Jackson, who was offered at the first K-State camp in Manhattan of the cycle, it was just JoJo Scott of Victory Christian Academy in Florida. Houston resident Cameron Jamerson (formerly of California) was added to the list after being offered at the TCU mega camp and will be in Manhattan this weekend.

Being from Derby and an in-state kid, Jackson has to be one to watch. He also may want to consider accelerating his timeline. Nobody else has budged on him yet and the Wildcats are going to continue to march forward in the Class of 2025.
