As Softball America grows its coverage at all levels, we continue our recruiting spotlight series with Ada Little. Little is currently ranked 10th in our 2025 pitcher rankings as the Kentucky native is committed to Georgia. The strong southpaw brings speed to the mound with incredible movement through the zone.

What about Georgia did you love the most?
What I love about the University of Georgia is how Athens feels like home. The day I stepped on campus I felt right at home with the coaches, players, and the environment. The family aspect of the team and University is what I am most excited for!
What is your favorite travel ball memory?
Two years ago in Colorado we won the Sparkler Power Pool Championship in the 14U division. It was a super fun experience and was a moment I will never forget!
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned from a coach?
The most important lesson I’ve learned from a coach is to always think of how to better the team, not just yourself. How team success is a reflection of not just yourself but the hard work of all your teammates.
How did you get interested in softball?
I have an older sister and ever since I can remember I’ve been at the fields watching her. It wasn’t really something I ever thought of not doing because it was just always a part of my family.
What are your strengths as a player? What are you trying to improve on the most?
I would say I am a very focused pitcher that focuses on one pitch at a time instead of looking for an outcome. I also have gotten much better at having the mentality of not worrying about what the batter does but instead of what I’m doing. I am trying to improve my thinking process by questioning myself in game, however it has gotten better over time it is still a working progress.
What player(s) do you look up to the most?
Since I live in Kentucky I always grew up wanting to be just like Kelsey Nunley for UK, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve really been a fan of Kelly Maxwell especially since she’s a lefty.
What are your favorite hobbies outside of softball?
I really enjoy running not just as a way of working out but as a fun thing to do. I also really enjoy hanging out with my friends.
What excites you the most about playing college softball?
I am most excited about playing against the best players in the nation. In the SEC there are no off weeks and every team is a great team which is going to better the team the more the season moves on. I’m also super excited to just learn as much as I can when I get on campus to better prepare myself for the spring season.
