Inside Texas dives into the latest from 2024 targets, new 2025 offer, and UT coaches on the road for Wednesday for today’s recruiting intel.
Eli Bowen, CB, Denton (Texas) Guyer – 2024
The 5-foot-9, 170-pound cornerback with incredible feet, quickness, and ball skills has a Texas official visit on June 16-18, sources tell Inside Texas.
This recruitment is still wide open, with schools like Texas and Texas A&M looking solid. But everyone is still on the table right now. Besides the Texas official, don’t be surprised to see Ole Miss make some noise.
He really likes Terry Joseph and Texas A&M’s new secondary coach Bryant Gross-Armiento. With his brother, Peyton Bowen, at Oklahoma, we don’t get the sense the Sooners are in the picture.
Quincy Porter, WR, Oradell (NJ) Bergen Catholic – 2025
From the land of Sydir MItchell and Nyier Daniels, meet the next big prospect Texas offensive line coach Kyle Flood watched and offered on Tuesday.
Porter, 6-foot-4, 200-pound On3 four-star holds offers from Notre Dame, Michigan, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio State, and Oregon, and recently tripped to South Bend.
Getting Porter on campus this summer is the plan now after the Horns extended the offer this week.
Julian Lewis, QB, Carrollton (Ga.) – 2026
Texas quarterback coach AJ Milwee was in attendance to see the elite signal-caller on Tuesday evening.
Lewis spoke about his time remaining in high school, almost strongly emphasizing he wouldn’t be reclassifying, which has been a popular subject.
Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Florida State join the Horns in the hunt for potentially the best quarterback in the 2026 cycle. Lewis has been to Austin a few times over the last year or so, as his relationship with Steve Sarkisian and Milwee continues to grow.
USC and Notre Dame are in the conversation as well, after the Fighting Irish offered two weeks ago.
Texas Coaches on the Road
A trio of Texas football coaches will be in Bradenton (Fla.) for the IMG Academy spring game this week.
UT’s Tashard Choice, Bo Davis, and Blake Gideon will see Jerrick Gibson, Jayden Jackson, And Jordon Johnson-Rubell, all top targets at their respective positions.
Gibson dropped his top five on Tuesday night and the Horns continue to hold down the top spot in this pursuit; Texas, Florida, Miami, Tennessee, and Georgia.
Jackson and JJR have official visits set for Austin on June 16-18 and June 223-25, respectively.
