Texas Longhorns Wednesday Recruiting Intel

Texas Longhorns Wednesday Recruiting Intel

Inside Texas dives into the latest on top targets Kobe Black, Kamar Mothudi, Michael Fasusi, and Javion Holliday in Wednesday’s recruiting intel.

Kobe Black, CB, Waco (Texas) Connally

The On3 five-star has an official visit set for Austin in late June. That was too long until he returned to Texas. Now he’ll take an unofficial to UT on Friday, Sam Spiegelman reports.

Black set up his official visit to Texas for June 23-25, and has seen the ATX more than any other program. Ohio State will also get an official, in mid June. Texas continues to trend nicely here.

Kamar Mothudi, LB, Los Angeles (Calif.) Campbell Hall

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound On3 four-star linebacker was offered this week by the Longhorns. Mothudi holds 13 offers including Michigan, Oregon, Nebraska, Utah, and Washington, and has official trips set for Oregon on June 23, Oregon State on June 2, Utah on June 9, and Washington on June 16.

Mothudi tells Inside Texas that UT sees him as an off-ball linebacker who has the ability to stop the run and cover sideline to sideline. With his officials already set, Mothudi is now looking at potentially switching up a few dates in the attempt to see Austin.

Michael Fasusi, OL, Lewisville (Texas) – 2025

One of the hottest recruits in-state for 2025 is hitting Texas for an unofficial visit on Friday, he tells Inside Texas.

The 6-foot-4, 287-pound On3 Industry Ranking No. 8 offensive tackle in the nation is still only 15 years old, and holds early offers from Texas, Ohio State, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Penn State.

Fasusi is connecting with UT coaches Steve Sarkisian and Kyle Flood, and seeing UT in person is a must, the On3 four-star tells Inside Texas.

Javion Holiday, S, Duncanville (Texas) – 2025

More talent on the Texas radar at Duncanville. With Cameron Williams on the Forty Acres, and the pursuit of Colin Simmons, Alex January, and Dakorien Moore, the 6-foot-1, 183-pound unranked defensive back prospect says “the vibe is real chill and cool,” with Texas in the Panthers’ locker room.

It’s early, but Holiday holds offers from UT, Texas A&M, Baylor, Arizona State, SMU, and North Texas.

Holiday is looking at a June trip to Austin, he tells IT.
