Now the East Texas product is looking at setting up his official visits. At the moment, it’s not certain UT will get an official trip. Texas A&M and Alabama are locks to receive OVs.

Bussey made an unofficial stop by the Texas football facilities before the Texas Relays last month and enjoyed the interaction with Steve Sarkisian and the staff.

Taz Williams, WR, Red Oak (Texas) – 2025

It was one of the offers Taz Williams was waiting on.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound On3 Industry Ranking four-star holds an impressive offer sheet. Texas joined Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan, and Oregon on the offer list, but the Longhorns were building the relationship way before the offer was extended.

Williams sees himself as a natural fit in the Texas offense. The Horns love his speed and versatility and think he Williams can flourish on the Forty Acres.

The Red Oak prospect is originally from Pittsburgh, Penn., moving to Texas three years ago. Teammate and 2023 Texas signee Warren Roberson is one player that Williams wants to approach about the Horns.

Williams made stops at Georgia Tech (March 17), Georgia (March 18), Alabama (March 20), TCU (April 1), Ohio State (April 21), Notre Dame (April 22) and Michigan (April 24) over the last two months, and has seen UT, TCU, and SMU multiple times.

Inside Texas expects Williams to make another trip to Austin for a summer camp in June.

Devin Harper, OL, Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve – 2025

Texas secondary coach Terry Joseph swung through Shreveport, La. on Tuesday and offered the 6-foot-5, 287-pound On3 Industry Ranking four-star. He spoke to Inside Texas shortly after the verbal invitation.

“I know (Texas) is a great program with a lot of good history,” said Harper. “They’re definitely on the list of one those dream schools of mine, and I haven’t visited yet.”

Harper emphasized his desire to take a trip to Austin to see the Horns up close. He took an unofficial to LSU last month and remains on the Tiger radar.

On3 ranks Harper as the No. 253 overall prospect in the country, the No. 16 interior offensive lineman ,and the No. 9 prospect in Louisiana. The On3 Industry Ranking ranks Harper as the No. 213 overall prospect, the No. 12 interior offensive lineman, and the No. 8 player in Louisiana.

The Pelican State product holds nine offers including Texas, Florida State, Mississippi State, Texas Tech, and Ole Miss. Michigan, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Florida and others are programs that have shown strong interest in Harper as well. Ole Miss leads the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for him at 62.4%.

Jordan Washington, TE, Houston (Texas) Langham Creek

Texas extended an offer to the 6-foot-4, 205-pound Houston area 2024 tight end on Tuesday night. He immediately scheduled an official visit to Austin for June 16-18. He also has an official visit to Utah planned for June 9-11. Arizona State is trying to set up an official as well.

The two-sport athlete has caught the eye of tight end coach Jeff Banks, who went by Langham Creek recently to check out the unranked prospect.

Also of note, 2024 Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair quarterback and Texas commit Trey Owens is very familiar with Washington. The two have competed against each other during district play over the years. Owens says the two are “close” and he’s currently working on getting Washington up to speed on all things UT.
