Texas Football: Details on running backs and offensive line from Day 1 of 2023 practice

The 2023 football season officially opened on Wednesday, August 2nd in Austin under 105-degree skies.
Steve Sarkisian and the confident Texas Longhorns hit the practice fields at Frank Denius Fields today after a long off-season of development, retooling, and adding key parts. Let’s take a closer look at the running backs and offensive line.
RB depth:
2) Jonathon Brooks
3) Jaydon Blue
4) CJ Baxter
5) Ky Woods (walk-on)
6) Colin Page (walk-on)
7) Tre Wisner
8) Savion Red
Robinson looked great. Quick, great feet through drills.
Brooks looked good too. Really built well.
Baxter is the biggest back. Not close.
Red looks out of shape.
First team (left to right)
Kelvin Banks – Hayden Conner – Jake Majors – Christian Jones
Tandem workouts:
The offensive line worked on tandem blocking throughout the first two sessions. Flood focused on getting low, underneath the blocks.
Cole Hutson w/ Cam Williams
DJ Campbell w/ Christian Jones
Kelvin Banks w/ Hayden Conner
Payton Kirkland w/ Sawyer Goram-Welch
Connor Stroh w/ Malik Agbo
Jake Majors w/ Hayden Conner
Neto Umeozulu w/ Andre Cojoe
Notes:
Banks and Williams look like a million dollars. They just look like NFL OL.
DJ Campbell was impressive. Cole Hutson looked solid as well.
Trevor Goosby looks outstanding. Easily the best ‘looking’ freshman OL.
Andre Cojoe and Malik Agbo look slimmed down and tremendous.
