Texas corner has Kansas State official visit scheduled

There are many official visits to Kansas State scheduled for this weekend. KSO is aware of nine official visitors who will make the trip to Manhattan. One of the visitors coming to K-State is Houston, Texas corner Cameron Jamerson.

The Texan was offered by Kansas State after performing well at the TCU Mega Camp.

“I felt blessed for sure,” Jamerson began. “Kansas State plays high-level competitive football, so for them to offer felt very good.”

K-State defensive analyst David Orloff extended the offer to the rising senior.

“[Orloff] really liked what he saw and initially invited me to a camp,” he shared. “He then followed me on Twitter (X) and the next day he called and offered.”

Since receiving the offer, he has also had conversations with Kansas State cornerbacks coach Van Malone.

“Coach Malone seems real cool. He knows what he wants out of his defensive backs,” he pointed out. “He has a real players coach feel like I can go to him for anything.”

Jamerson is still in the process of learning more about Kansas State, which will be key on his official visit.

“I’m still learning about Kansas State but one thing I do know is they develop defensive backs. So, I’m excited to come up there this weekend and see everything,” he opined. “I’m hoping to learn about the surrounding city and the university. I can see myself at K-State so just learning about where I would be living at for the next 3-4 years.”

The Houston native also has official visits scheduled to TCU on June 20-22. His recruitment appears to be a sprint to the finish.

“[I’m hoping to commit to a school in] mid to early July or if I’m really loving the school commit while I’m there,” he revealed. “I’m looking for somewhere I can get developed as a defensive back and a school with good academics.”
