Texas at Texas A&M: Live updates, score, highlights in Lone Star Showdown
For the first time in 13 years, Texas vs. Texas A&M is back. The rivalry dates back to 1894 and Saturday night’s revival of the series will have major implications for the SEC championship game and 12-team College Football Playoff.
The Texas vs. Texas A&M winner will punch a ticket to the SEC title game with a first-round bye up for grabs. It’s the only path to the CFP for the Aggies, while a Texas loss will leave the Longhorns waiting a week to make sure they’ve done enough to make the postseason tournament.
Texas leads the overall series, 76-37-5, including 25-22-2 in College Station. The Horns and Aggies will meet on the gridiron for the 119th time in history and the first time in the last 13 years on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
