Texas A&M jumps to No. 9 in On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings

With the addition of elite Central (Phenix City, Ala.) five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman, Texas A&M’s 2024 class jumped five spots to No. 9 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Coleman is the first five-star prospect to commit to the Aggies this cycle and sits atop a group that includes seven other blue-chip commits. With his commitment, Texas A&M passed up SEC rivals LSU and Tennessee in addition to Penn State and Oregon.
“What stood out about Texas A&M was how I felt like home every time I went there,” Coleman told On3. “From the coaching staff, to spending time with my future teammates. We are all going to stop playing football one day and that’s where the education aspect and Aggie Network comes into play and it’s an amazing network.
“The relationship with Coach Craig is a bond I started building with when Texas A&M was my first offer and my only offer and it’s been getting closer ever since. His plan for me is to develop me on and off the field to become the best man and football player I can possibly be.”
Texas A&M building top-10 class
The 6-foot-3.5, 185-pound receiver is the No. 10 prospect and No. 3 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He joins fellow top-100 commits Pine Tree (Longview, Texas) defensive lineman Dealyn Evans and Silsbee (Texas) wide receiver Dre’lon Miller in the Aggies’ class. Top-150 recruits Beaumont United (Texas) offensive tackle Weston Davis and Blountstown (Fla.) safety Jordan Pride each committed to the Aggies this spring.
Texas A&M holds a current class score of 91.088 and an average rating per commit of 90.37 — good for No. 7 in the 2024 cycle.
Jimbo Fisher’s staff is well on its way to bringing in another top-15 class to College Station. The Aggies finished No. 15 in the 2023 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings after pulling in the nation’s best recruiting class the year before.
