Taylor Swift thanks Travis Kelce at MTV VMA’s: ‘Everything this man touches turns to happiness’
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are one of the most famous couples on the planet. And fans simply can’t get enough of either. Taylor Swift won yet another award on Wednesday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, one of the near countless awards she’s won over the years in her ascension to becoming one of the most famous singers of all-time.
In her acceptance speech, Swift took a few seconds to thank her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
She won the award with Post Malone, and it was the first award given out at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. The award was for best collaboration, given to them by Flavor Flav and Olympian Jordan Chiles.
Swift once again made history in 2024, winning five times at the Video Music Awards on Wednesday night. That brings her total to 28 all-time, once again showcasing her unmatched popularity. She even shattered Beyonce’s record of 27 wins. There’s not much else you can write about Swift that hasn’t already been written. When the history books glance back at her records decades down the road, they’ll be extremely tough to top.
Swift showed up for the Chiefs’ season opener against the Baltimore Ravens and cameras showed her in the skybox suites, the usual place she watches the games from.

Swift attended 13 Chiefs games last season including the Super Bowl. She is so invested in the team that she’s even drawn up some plays to help out head coach Andy Reid. “Andy’s had some fun with it, and Andy’s very open-minded because the players do bring him plays, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Travis brings a play to Andy, maybe Taylor had a little something to do with. But Andy likes to say he has 51% control,” Hunt said.

Patrick Mahomes wouldn’t mind running a play from Swift. “I think it’s been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football,” Mahomes said, via Kevin Patra of NFL.com. “I know being a girl dad, how cool it is for me to see like these little girls — these daughters — and how much they’re loving to spend time with their dad, watching football. And then meeting Taylor, realizing how genuine and cool she is. I think that’s been special to me because she’s, like you said, the most famous person in the world, she could not be [genuine].
“And she’s really interested in football, and she asks a lot of great questions. Started drawing up plays. We might have to put one in.”
