Sought-after 2026 4-star QB Brady Smigiel covers Florida State visit

Newbury Park (Calif.) four-star 2026 quarterback Brady Smigiel made the cross country trip to Florida this weekend to visit Mike Norvell and Florida State.

The Seminoles, along with Oregon, Notre Dame, Michigan, Florida and more are heavily in pursuit of Smigiel. And they made yet another strong impression on him, he told On3’s Steve Wiltfong.

“My visit at FSU was great! My highlights from the weekend are the interactions I was able to have with the players and coaches,” Smigiel said. “Sitting in on the meetings and seeing the coaches communicate with the players the same way they talk to recruits. The QB room really impressed me with how close they all were, felt like a brotherhood between those guys. Coach Norvell was also extremely impressive, you can tell he is going to do whatever it takes to get the most out of all of his players.”

The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder leapt onto the national scene as a freshman, throwing for just under 3,500 yards and 46 touchdowns. He added another five scores on the ground, giving him 51 total touchdowns in his first year as a starter.

He followed that up with a stellar sophomore season, throwing for more than 4,200 yards and 52 touchdowns.

Smigiel visited Florida last weekend and also tripped to Notre Dame and Oregon in January.
