Sooners Camp No. 2 is a Huge Success
NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma’s second day of football camp resulted in a host of new offers and even some names that figure to join the offer list in the future. SoonerScoop.com was on hand for all of it and brings you photos, videos, and analysis of all the comings and goings. With so much talent on hand we didn’t get to break down every one we wanted to but we take a look at nearly 20 Sooners offers and/or targets.
Delvin Cook – 2026 – WR – Dallas Skyline – OU OFFER
What We Saw: Perhaps Oklahoma and Skyline getting back in sync. It wasn’t so long ago that the two were locked together. Perhaps Cook can be a start of that rekindling after an impressive performance on Saturday. He was one we didn’t get to see as much of as we’d have liked but he definitely stood out.
Jordan Deck – 2026 – S – Frisco (Texas) Lone Star – OU OFFER
What We Saw: A player who is long on potential but still learning the position. Deck has the length and movement of a wide receiver but watching him in some of the clips – some available here – you can see a guy who is a natural when the ball is in the air. The Sooners thought enough of him to put forward an offer and see what can come forward in the future.
Josiah Dickerson – 2028 – RB – Washington, Okla.

What We Saw: A player that won’t have many peers in the state of Oklahoma, at least from a physical standpoint. There’s still a lot more we need to see from Dickerson on the field but it would be hard to make a much more impressive first impression.
Kweli Fielder – 2028 – OL – Carrollton, Ga. – OU OFFER
What We Saw: Another young guy making a big impression, holy cow this guy is going to be something special. Fielder is going to be interesting to see how he develops – is he a guard, is a tackle? We’re not sure yet but a Sooners offer in the not too distant future seems a near certainty.
Evan Goodwin – 2026 – OL – Benton (Ark.) Pulaski Academy
What We Saw: A player who came in and immediately caught attention due to, if nothing else, his impressive frame. The big offensive tackle could figure into a number of different spots but on the outside is definitely where he is most natural at the moment.
Marcell Gipson – 2026 – CB – Dallas South Oak Cliff

What We Saw: One of the more natural cover corners we’ve seen so far. Gipson has great feet and an aggressive style that fits well at cornerback. Gipson hasn’t picked up an Oklahoma offer but there is plenty to say that it could happen before too long, he’s got a lot of skills and obviously the Sooners would like to bring in all the South Oak Cliff talent they can justify.
Trystan Haynes – 2025 – CB – Midwest City (Okla.) Carl Albert – OU COMMIT
What We Saw: One of the longest and rangiest corners you’ll find. Haynes is still working on the finer points of the position and his footwork at times gets him in a little trouble. But the tools are there to be an outstanding player. As that comes together the upside is high for the Sooners commit.
Hunter Higgins – 2026 – EDGE – Wichita (Kan.) Maize South – OU OFFER
What We Saw: One of the more surprising performers of Saturday. Oklahoma has identified him early on and made a priority of Higgins. The talented defender has a chance to be a very complete rusher and though he isn’t the longest guy he does a great job dipping at the corner and getting outside of an offensive tackle.
Montre Jackson – 2027 – CB – Garland (Texas) Lakeview Centennial – OU OFFER

What We Saw: Another corner with impressive length and the ability to disrupt numerous routes. The Sooners have gotten involved early on and it’s not hard to see why. Jackson’s length and surprisingly adept feet make for a guy with massive potential in the 2027 class.
Vincent Johnson – 2026 – OL – Sulphur Springs, Texas – OU OFFER
What We Saw: Johnson was a player we really wanted to see coming in but as the camp wore on, we thought were were missing him. But we knew we kept liking ‘No. 471’ and after talking to the player, we realized they were one and the same. Johnson’s got great size and moves his feet really well. As he starts to develop his frame and get more muscular, he’ll likely become a far more impressive athlete.
Jerald Mays – 2026 – OL – Pflugerville (Texas) Weiss
What We Saw: One of the most diverse offensive linemen in a loaded camp for big men. The multi-faceted Mays shows an ability play anywhere from center to tackle along the line of scrimmage. That said, if he’s to be a fit, and land an offer, for the Sooners center may be what makes the most sense.
Pulelei’ite Primus – 2026 – OL – Midland, Texas – OU OFFER
What We Saw: One of the most consistent campers we’ve seen through the first two sessions. Primus has a tremendous base that can stand up bigger defenders. Meanwhile he still has the movement skills he needs to work as a perimeter blocker. Primus was a lot of fun and the Sooners wasted little time on the offer.
Gene Riordan – 2026 – OL – Hinsdale (Ill.) Central – OU OFFER
What We Saw: A player who brought a lot more to the table than one might assume. Riordan worked inside and outside and consistently gave trouble to defenders at both guard and tackle. He’s got a sturdy frame but also isn’t a guy who is heavy-footed to a degree it slows him as a pass blocker.
Zane Rowe – 2027 – EDGE – Denton (Texas) Guyer – OU OFFER
What We Saw: Honestly? More of the same from Rowe, he’s a guy who flashes all world potential but he’s still learning the ropes. What was impressive is that he seemed to be picking up little nuances from Miguel Chavis and looked to grow a bit from day one to day two of camp.
Wayne Shanks – 2027 – RB – Cypress (Texas) Cy-Woods
What We Saw: An explosive back who has legitimate home run ability. Shanks was a guy we saw from a distance and marveled at his ability to burst upfield and the quick feet to get north and south in a hurry. In short, we were very, very impressed by Shanks’s performance.
Brian Swanson – 2027 – OL – Dallas South Oak Cliff – OU OFFER

What We Saw: A new Sooners offensive tackle offer with considerable upside. Swanson slides his feet with ease and does a great job staying under control at all times. Regardless of how defensive linemen tried to attack him, they found little success. He’s a big-time athlete who is a natural in pass protection.
Trae Taylor – 2027 – QB – Carmel (Ind.) Catholic
What We Saw: Taylor is a guy who can absolutely rip and just throws a tremendously catchable football. As he gets more comfortable in big camp settings he’ll get better with a few minor misses he had. But when his timing was on he really was powerful and delivered a ball accurately.
Joseph Terry – 2026 – DL – Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic – OU OFFER
What We Saw: The best defensive tackle to hit the Sooners camp in, perhaps, a few years. Not since David Stone in the 2022 camp have we seen a guy that dominant on the interior of the Sooners camp. What we liked most about Terry was just how diverse he was. He could beat you with speed, spin moves and quickness or show off some power. He’s a really promising defensive tackle.
Cortavious Tisaby – 2026 – OL – Dallas South Oak Cliff

What We Saw: One of the longest guys we’ve seen in two days of camp. It felt, at times, like Tisaby is still growing into that big frame but once he does, there’s going to be a lot of interest. Long arms, long legs, he’s going to be a problem to beat to the edge once he figures out his slide step and gets more comfortable.
Tufanua Umu-Cais – 2026 – DL – Denver (Colo.) Cherry Creek – OU OFFER
What We Saw: A big defensive tackle that has a lot of versatility in how you can use him. He’s got the quickness to work as a three-technique but he has the frame and the powerful hands that makes me think that he could work well at nose tackle. ‘T.I.’ is a talented guy with a world of potential.
Joshua Williams – 2027 – EDGE – Palos Verdes Estates (Calif.) Palos Verdes – OU OFFER
What We Saw: Williams is a quick-twitch defender that we’ll want to see more of as a pass rusher. He’s not the world’s biggest guy but if he can grow into a 6-foot, 220-pound prospect it’s not hard to imagine him becoming a coveted EDGE recruit.
