Sooners Camp Had Solid Start

Oklahoma’s summer camp is complete and with roughly 30 new offers going out over five days of work it’s time to take some inventory. We’re going through one day of camp to replay the new offers and help Sooners fans familiarize themselves.
Of course, we’ll start from the start with day one where Oklahoma made a trio of new offers. Included among them are a pair of big men and a wide receiver with big Sooners ties.
Brock Boyd – 2026 – WR – Southlake (Texas) Carroll
Breakdown: Boyd made a huge impression on everyone with his blend of outstanding route-running as well as his tremendous hands. For a player so young it’s hard to believe how polished he was in the time we got to see him.
Sooners Chances: The young receiver has some very real connection to the Sooners. And as such it’s not hard to envision him as part of the class a long time from now.
Owen Hollenbeck – 2025 – OL – Melissa, Texas
Breakdown: Hollenbeck is the type of offensive lineman that everyone loves to watch work. He’s a bull in the trenches and uses his impressive strength and surprising lateral quickness to stonewall defensive lineman.
Sooners Chances: Hollenback has been to Norman numerous times and the Sooners have a very real chance to land him this time next year.
Easton Ware – 2025 – OT – Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy
Breakdown: We didn’t get to watch Ware as much as we’d hoped to but he’s definitely a guy that did a nice job using his length and body to work on the edge.
Sooners Chances: Ware definitely has some interest in the Sooners but we’ll see if it’s enough to make them a major player.
